DESCRIPTION: In February 1984, the City Council
awarded Contract 84-1 to P & F Construction Inc., for
Dougherty Road Improvements. The major items of work in
Phase I were the construction of sidewalk, curb and gutter
along the frontage of Arroyo Vista from the Southern Pacific
Railroad right-of-way on the south to the northern property
limit of the subdivision near Ventura Drive.
During the constructScn phase, the City Engineer authorized
lowering 6 catch basins to avoid a future utility conflict
and the removal of concrete buried within the project area.
Phase II of the Dougherty Road Improvements will be the
installation of a storm drain along the same frontage
(1984-85).
On February 27, 1984, the City Council awarded the contract
to P & F Construction in the amount of $44,598.50. On March
12, 1984, the City Council authorized additional curb,
gutter and sidewalk to be installed because of the
availability of additional Community Development Block Grant
funds. This additional work was performed by P & F
Construction at the same unit price included in the bid.
