JSCRIPTION : In September, 1984 the City Council awarded Contract
64-5 to Graham Contractors, Inc., for the Annual Slurry Seal Program.
Slurry seal is a preventive maintenance technique used to prolong the life
of a street. It consists of a sand/oil mixture which seals cracks and
provides a uniform wearing surface. The major item of work under Contract
84-5 was to install a coat of slurry seal on 33 streets and courts.
During the construction phase, the City Engineer deleted Shannon Avenue
(between Peppertree and San Ramon Road) from the program due to a trenching
project to be done by the Dublin San Ramon Services District within the next
6 months. For this reason, the actual contract amount is $1,737.82 less
than the original contract amount.
The contractor has completed the improvements in accordance
approved plans, specifications and modifications. Staff
acceptance of improvements and payment to the contractor.
