SUBJECT Acceptance of Traffic Signal Easement Deed

RECOMMENDATION 1 . Adopt resolution to accept easement deed
2 . Instruct City Clerk to record these documents
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: No cost to the City
DESCRIPTION This easement is located on the southeast corner of
Dublin Boulevard and Clark Avenue . The owner of the property which contains
the Foremost-McKesson building had agreed to deed the City, at no cost , an
easement to erect and maintain a large mast and signal pole in its ultimate
location. This will save the City about $1 , 500 to $2 ,000 in future
relocation work. The commitment by the City accepting this easement is that
this easement would not diminish the value of the property , if and when, the
City purchases right-of-way for the street widening.

OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN

ACCEPTING FOR THE PUBLIC A TRAFFIC SIGNAL EASEMENT AT THE
SOUTHEAST CORNER OF DUBLIN BLVD AND CLARK AVENUE
WHEREAS , it is cost effective to avoid relocating the
proposed new traffic signal pole in the future ; and
WHEREAS , an easement is needed to place the traffic
signal pole at its ultimate location; and
WHEREAS , the owner of the site , Toby Hackel , has granted
the required easement at no cost to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED that the Dublin City
Council does hereby approve this grant of easement deed for
traffic signal purposes on behalf of the public .
PASSED , APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of June ,
1985 .
