DESCRIPTION:
In February, 1985, the City Council awarded Contract 84-11, Street
Reconstruction, to Rosendin Electric, Inc. The project combined the following
capital projects: (1) Dublin Boulevard/Dougherty Road Intersection
Modifications; (2) Downtown Street Light Additions on Regional Street and
Amador Plaza Road; (3) Street Tree Program; (4) Traffic Signal at Dublin
Boulevard and Dublin. Court; (5) Traffic Signal at Stagecoach Road and Amador
Valley Boulevard; ad~(6) Traffic Signal at Dublin Boulevard and Clark Avenue.
The traffic signal projects included installation of medians, irrigation
and landscaping, interlocking pavers, and safety street lighting. During the
construction period, the City Engineer authorized the installation of an
additional 297 street trees, m~dification of Clark Avenue sidewalks for future
right-of-way, street name signs on mast arms at three intersections, and
additional excavation to insure tree growth in the Dublin Boulevard medians.
The City Engineer has reviewed the improvements and found them to be in
accordance with the approved plans, specifications, and modifications. Staff
recommends that the City Council accept the improvements and authorize the
retention payment of $50,743.96.
