HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 4.4 MAD83-2PrepReport (2)CITY OF DUBLIN AGENDA STATEMENT City Council Meeting Date: May 12, 1986 SUBJECT: Landscaping and Lighting Maintenance Assessment District No. 83-2 (Tract 4719) EXHIBITS ATTACHED: Resolution RECOMMENDATION:~ Adopt Resolution directing the preparation of the Annual Report for the Landscaping and Lighting District No. 83-2. FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Preliminary estimated 1986-87 budget engineering cost is $2,000 to be paid through the Maintenance District. DESCRIPTION: As part of the review and approval of the 150-unit single family development and the Amador Lakes development, certain landscaping and park maintenance was made a condition of approval. This maintenance assessment district provides funds for this work. The County Assessor collects these monies for the City for the maintenance of the park and landscaping along Stagecoach Road. The District's boundaries include all of Tract 4719. It maintains all Stagecoach Road landscaping, including that portion within the City of San Ramon, and the mini-park in Tract 4719. Approval of this Resolution will begin the process for the annual landscape maintenance report and assessment spread for this District for Fiscal Year 1986-87. ITEM NO. ~ COPIES TO: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN DIRECTING PREPARATION OF ANNUAL REPORT FOR LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. 83-2 WHEREAS, on January 23, 1984, by its Resolution No. 11-84, the City Council initiated proceedings and by Resolution No. 10-84, it ordered formation of Landscaping and Lighting District No. 83-2 (the "District") pursuant to the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (commencing at Section 22500 of the California Streets and Highways Code) (hereinafter "the Act"); and WHEREAS, Sections 22620 et seq. of the Act provide for the levy of annual assessments after formation of the District; and WHEREAS, within said District, the existing and proposed improvements and any substantial changes proposed to be made to the existing improvements are generally as described on Exhibit A attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof; NOW, THEREFCROd~, BE IT RESOLVED that the Dublin City Council does hereby designate the Dublin City Engineer as Engineer for purposes of preparing and filing with the Clerk a written report in accordance with Section 22565 et seq. of the Act; said Engineer is hereby directed to apportion said assessments in accordance to the benefits received from said improvements by the lots, pieces and parcels of land within the District, and said Engineer is hereby directed to accomplish such preparation and filing forthwith.
