At that meeting, the City Council approved the concept for improvements to Amador Valley Blvd. between Village Parkway and Dougherty Road. This will continue to be a two- lane street with parking and added bike lanes. This project is a combination of three projects in this year's Capital Improvement Program and includes reducing the width of the median in order to shift the traffic lane away from the curb parking. The project also includes median landscaping, street lights, and repair and overlaying of the pavement. The project is being bid to extend across the Villages at Alamo Creek project, with the developer to reimburse the City for their share of the work. The City Engineer received State comments on May 16, 1986, and a response was made to the State on May 22, 1986. State approval should be received during the week of May 26th.
