This year's ADA Transition Plan Project (CIP No.939101) included the construction of approximately 20 pedestrian curb ramps. The ramps were funded through a Community Development Block Grant Recovery (CDBG-R) grant and the General Fund (1001) as identified in the ADA Transition Plan Project (CIP No. 939101). FINANCIAL IMPACT: The total appropriations for this project were $56,410, which included design; inspection and improvements. Of this amount, $54,610 was budgeted for improvements. In 2006, the City used summer interns to update the ADA Transition Plan. As part of that update, a continuing Capital Improvement Project (CIP) was also adopted to conduct regular curb ramp replacement projects. Since adopting the updated ADA Transition Plan, the City has installed 55 curb ramps, and is making every effort to bring the City into compliance as quickly as possible. This Project implemented recommended improvements listed in the City's ADA Transition Plan, which include the construction of approximately 20 new pedestrian curb ramps. The ramps were funded through a Community Development Block Grant Recovery (CDBG-R) grant and the General Fund (1001) as identified in the ADA Transition Plan Project (CIP No. 939101). Staff has reviewed the work performed under this contract and has determined that the work is satisfactory and complete.
