EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Council will receive a presentation accepting an in-kind gift from West Coast Arborists
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
IVo financial impact from the in-kind gift.
RECOMMENDATION:
As per Government Code Section 37354, it is recommended that all gifts and contributions be
formally accepted by the City Council. Therefore, Staff recommends that the City Council
formally accept the in-kind gift from West Coast Arborists.

DESCRIPTION:
West Coast Arborists (WCA) is contracted through MCE Corporation, the City's maintenance
contractor, to perForm tree maintenance services. WCA provides tree trimming and tree cutting
services in Dublin throughout the year. Through their efforts working with City street trees, WCA
is able to collect large logs and turn the wood into handcrafted furniture. This is part of. WCA
continual efforts to recycle all bio-mass resulting from their tree maintenance.
The City received a handcrafted wooden bookcase as an in-kind gift from WCA. The 4-shelf
bookcase is primarily made from Magnolia and American Elm.
NOTICING REQUIREMENTS/PUBLIC OUTREACH:
A copy of the Staff Report was distributed to West Coast Arborists.
