FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
Costs associated with the reorganj7,Ation are included in the adopted
FY 1995.96 Budget.
DESCRIPTION: On June 28, 1995, the City Council adopted the FY 1995.96 Budget.
Included in the adopted budget is the reorganization of the existing Building and Planning Departments
into a Community Development Department. Subsequently, on July 11, 1995, the City Council approved
.... the necessary changes to the City's Personnel System to accommodate the reorganization. Specifically,
-- .-.-.,:.-' the City Council approved changes to the City's Classification Plan, Salary Plan and Resolution
Establishing Management Positions Exempt From the Competitive Service and Prescribing Leave
Benefits for the Positions to add the newly created Community Development Dzrector position.
The only document not amended in July, was the City's Benefit Plan. The City's Benefit Plan identifies
the various benefits provided to regular City employees. In addition, the Benefit Plan designates those
management positions which are eligible to receive a monthly auto allowance. The new Community
Development Director position is one of the positions eligible to receive a monthly auto allowance and
should be added to the existing list of auto allowance recipients.
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution amending the City's Benefit Plan to
include new Community Development Director position as one of the positions eligible to receive a
monthly auto allowance. '

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN

AMENDING THE BENEFIT PLAN
WHEREAS, the Personnel System Rules require the City Council to adopt a Benefit Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Benefit Plan prescribes the current benefits provided to regular employees by the
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby
amend Resolution No. 109-91 and subsequent amendments to include the following:
Section 12. Car Allowance and Mileage Reimbursement: The following positions shall be eligible to
receive the designated monthly allowance. The receipt of the car allowance pursuant to this section shall
be full compensation for all operating costs excluding tolls, parking fees and out of area travel.
