Caroline Court Capital Improvement Program projects as
complete (bid as one construction contract)
Approve the Budget Change Form appropriating $I,394
from unallocated Gas Tax funds for these two projects.
FINA_NCIAL STATEMENT:
The additional appropriation from Gas Tax funds for the two
projects is $1,394.
DESCRIPTION: On January 21, 1997, the City Council accepted the consuuction
improvements for the San Ramon Road Drainage Improvements project for the purpose of releasing the
corm:actor from an)' further obligation.
In installing a retaining wall along the end of Caroline court, the top of the wall effectively lowered the
property owner fences, which allowed people to step over the private fences and shortcut through the
nei_ohborhood. Staff let a subsequent small contract by Purchase Order to install a six-foot fence on the
Cit~, side of the private property fences to rectify the situation. The cost of this fence was $2,031.
Staff reconmaends that Council approve the CIP's as complete and approve the budget appropriation to
fund the project over-run.

REASON FOR BUDGET CHANGE ENTRY:
The purpose of the Budget change is to close out two Capital Improvement Projects (both projects were bid as
one package). CIP #9662 is underbudget by $3,643. CIP #9661 is overbudget by $5,037. This Budget Change
will lzansfer $3,643 from CIP #9662 to CIP #9661 and appropriate $1,394 from Gas Tax Reserves.
