FINANCIAL STATEMENT: None associated with this action.
DESCRIPTION: The Final Map for Tract 6644 was approved by the City Council in
early 1994. This map indicated and offered for dedication an Emergency Vehicle Access Easement
(EVAE) based on the alignment and use of the property at that time. The City accepted that offer of
dedication along with acceptance of the Map.
In May of 1997, Parcel Map 7109 was filed over a portion of Tract 6644, and the location of the EVAE
affecting those specific parcels was changed. J. Patrick Land has subsequently sold the parcels on the
remainder of Tract 6644, and the location of the easement is proposed to be altered to fit with the current
uses. The new location is shown on Exhibit 5.
The Municipal Code allows Staff to accept the relocated easement deeds from the six separate property
owners; however, quitclaim of the existing easements will need to be approved by the City Council. The
quitclaim of existing easements will be submitted to the County Recorder through a Title Company at the
same time that the deeds for the new easements are submitted for recordation.
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution approving the abandonment of easement.

FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
None associated with this action.
DESCRIPTION: The Final Map for Tract 6644 was approved by the City Council in

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN

APPROVING QUITCLAIM OF EASEMENT
TRACT 6644
WHEREAS, the Final Map for Tract 6644 was approved by the Dublin City Council in February of
1994; and
WHEREAS, said Map included an Emergency Vehicle Access Easement across the parcels of said
Tract; and
WHEREAS, the location of said easement needs to be revised to conform with current uses; and
WHEREAS, deeds for a replacement Emergency Vehicle Access EasementlPublic Service
Easement have been received by the City for acceptance by Staff;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin hereby
approves quitclaim of the Emergency Vehicle Access Easement as shown on the deed and map, Exhibit
"A" of this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is authorized to execute the quitclaim deed
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of April, 1998.

("Ov.'Iler'j, herein requests the City of Dublin's ("City") action to abandon the public's interest in
the Emergency Vehicle Access Easement ("EV A.E.") and utility easements shown on Tract Map
6644 (see enclosed) recorded February 14, 1994 in Book 210 of Maps at pages 98-100 that are not
'Within the boundaries of Parcel Map 7109 (see enclosed).
"When Parcel Map 7109 was approved by the City on May 6, 1997, and filed by the County
Recorder's Office May 19, 1997, the Dublin San Rmnon Services District Easement and
Emergency Vehicle Access Easement were abandoned and replaced by a new Public Service
Easement and Emergency Vehicle Access Easement. The E. V .A.B. and utility easements over
Tiact Map 6644- that JPL is herein requesting to be abandoned are unnecessary due to the pending
recording (unrecorded as of this date) of a new easement over Tract Map 6644 (see Replacement
Exhibit) that conne...'1:s with the new easement recorded with Parcel Map 7109.
