Ade~luate funds are available in the Parks Maintenance Budget for FY 94-95 and FY 95-96. Smith Trucking $32.48 $7,031.92 $7,031.92 A.A. & Bob Allen, Inc. $34.50 $7,469.25 $7,469.25 DESCRIPTION : On a alternating basis, the baseball and softball infields are renovated which includes replacement of the infield soil. The infields on both of the softball fields have not been thoroughly renovated for over five years and are in need of complete replacement of the infield mix. Funds are available in the Fiscal Year 1994-95 Park Maintenance Budget to replace approximately 200 cubic yards of infield mix for softball field #1. Funds have also been included in the Fiscal Year 1995-96 Park Maintenance Budget to replace the same amount of infield mix for softball field #2. Staff received three proposals to provide the infield mix. The low bidder is Delta Topsoil, Inc., who proposes to provide infield mix at a cost of $29.50 per cubic yard. As per the bid specifications, one-half of the infield mix (or 200 cubic yards) will be delivered during the last week of Fiscal Year 1994-95 and the remaining 200 cubic yards will be delivered during the first week of Fiscal Year 1995-96. Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution awarding the purchase order for infield mix to Delta Topsoil, Inc. ITEM NO. COPIES TO: Bidders File RESOLUTION NO. - 95 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN AWARDING PURCHASE ORDER FOR INFIELD MIX FOR DUBLIN SPORTS GROUNDS TO DELTA TOPSOIL, INC. WHEREAS, the City of Dublin did on June 6, 1995 receive three bids for provision of infield mix for the renovation of softball fields #1 and #2 at the Dublin Sports Grounds; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that the bid hereinafter described is the lowest and best bid for providing the product. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby award the purchase order for infield mix to the lowest bidder, to wit, Delta Topsoil, Inc., at a price of $12,773.50 ($6,386.75 in FY 94-95 and $6,386.75 in FY 95-96), the particulars of which bid are on file in the City Engineer's office.
