SUBJECT: Request from Dublin Chamber of Commerce Related to
Dublin Day at the Alameda County Fair

FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Cost = $20; Sufficient funds have been
included in the 1990-91 Budget.
DESCRIPTION: The City has received a letter from the Dublin
Chamber of Commerce requesting that the City participate in "Dublin
Day" at the Alameda County Fair on Tuesday, July 2 , 1991. This
participation would include sharing one-half of the cost of a floral
bouquet to be presented to the winner of the Dublin race at the Fair.
The total cost will be $20.

Dear Rich:
The Alameda County Fair Associ.ation has designated Tuesday, July 2, 1991
as "Dublin Day" at the Fair and again this year, offers Dublin the opportunity
to sponsor a feature race at the daily races.
The Dublin Chamber of Commerce has agreed to sponsor a feature race this
year and would like to invite the City of Dublin to participate as has been
done for the past several years. We would like to extend an invitation to
the Mayor and/or Vice Mayor or designated city representative to accompany a
Chamber representative in the Winner's Circle.
The Chamber has made arrangements to have a floral bouquet presented to the
winner of the featured race, the cost being approximately $40.00 inclusive.
If the City so chooses to share in the costs involved, it would be appreciated.
I must return all the necessary forms to the Fair Association within the next
few days, therefore if you could give me a call regarding the city's
participation as soon as possible it would be greatly appreciated.
