DESCRIPTION:
In August, 1984, the City Council accepted petitions and passed a
resolution establishing the San Ramon Road Specific Plan Improvement
District. The improvement consists of two phases. The first phase,
Contract 85-3, consists of the extension of Amador Valley Blvd. and
temporary signals facing the cul-de-sac. The second phase includes
frontage improvements on San Ramon Road and a new traffic signal. In
May, 1985, the Council held a public hearing, receiving Staff and
public input on the Engineer's Report and calling for sealed
proposals.
Contract 85-3 was awarded to Redgwick Construction Company by the
City Council in July, 1985. During the construction phase, the City
Engineer authorized installation of water facilities at the end of the
cul-de-sac for Morrison Homes, driveway access for True-value
Hardware, and additional conduit for the signal phasing.
The City Engineer has reviewed the improvements and found them to
be in accordance with the approved plans, specifications, and
modifications. S~a.~f recommends tha~ the City Council accept the
improvements and authorize the retention payment of $18,291.44.
