The total project cost plus a 10% contingency is $16,052; sufficient
funds are available in the Fiscal Year 1996-97 Budget.
DESCRIPTION: Funds have been included in the Fiscal Year 1996-97 Budget for the
Shannon Center Window Replacement project. This project provides for the replacement and installation
of 45 windows and 5 bathroom mirrors at the Shannon Community Center that were graffiti etched, as
well as the application ora vandal-resistant film to the windows.
Bid specifications were prepared for the replacement of the windows and the project was put out to bid.
Three bids were received for the project: Team Glass, Inc. - $11,300; South Valley Glass - $12,887; and
Bob Smith Glass & Aluminum - $14,920.
The application of a vandal resistant film to the windows will be done under a separate conlxact and will
be completed immediately following the installation of the windows. The low bid for the vandal resistant
film is $3,293.
Staff has reviewed the low bidder's proposal and recommends that the City Council adopt the resolution
awarding Contract 96-05A to Team Glass, Inc.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
AWARDING CONTRACT NO. 96-05A
SHANNON COMMUNITY CENTER WINDOW REPLACEMENT
TO TEAM GLASS, INC.
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin did, on August 5, 1996, publicly open, examine, and declare all
sealed bids for doing the work described in the approved Specifications for Contract No. 96-05A, which
Specifications are hereby expressly referred to for a description of said work and for all particulars relative
to the proceedings under the request for bids; and
WHEREAS, said bids were submitted to the City Engineer, who has reviewed the bids to
determine the lowest bid which was responsive to the requirements of the bid documents; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Dublin does hereby
award Contract No. 96-05A to the lowest responsible bidder therefor, to wit, Team Glass, Inc., at a bid of
ELEVEN THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($11,300), the particulars of which bid are on
file in the office of the City Engineer.
