The Dougherty Road overlay is proposed to be constructed with the ISTEA project to widen Dougherty
Road and is not a part of this contract.
This contract includes provisions to raise the median curb height along Village Parkway. This
construction is necessary to keep frompaving to the top of the curbs which allows motorists to drive up
onto the medians. It will also help facilitate this and future overlay projects.
Notices will be sent out prior to the beginning of work in order to advise business owners and residents of
the work to be performed.
It is recommended that the City Council authorize Staff to advertise for bids.
