FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
A total of $9,600 has been budgeted for this project. The estimated
cost of construction is $8,500. The project cost is proposed to be
paid from the City's General Fund.
DESCRIPTION: The dining area of the fire station is also used as a training facility.
The hard surface walls, floor, and ceiling cause sounds to echo, which is detrimental to the training
process. The project proposes to install acoustical ceiling tile and wall panels in the diningtraining area
to absorb a percentage of the' sound.
The estimated construction cost for this work is $8,500. An additional $1,100 has been budgeted for
project administration and advertising costs.
Staff recommends that the City Council authorize solicitation of bids.
