Right-of-Way: 29 , 900 . 00 FINANCIAL STATEMENT: The expected CDBG funding for 1986-87 is a total of $41 , 600 . 00 , down from the previously estimated $68,000 . 00 . DESCRIPTION: The City has recently received the attached letter from the Alameda County Planning Department informing the City of an expected reduction of available funding under the Block Grant program. The original Council approval based on an estimated $55 ,000 . 00 allocation was as follows : Housing Rehabilitation: $ 8 , 400 :00 Minor Home Repair/Painting: 7 , 000 . 00 Dougherty Road Right-of-Way: 39 ,600 . 00 This approval also included a stipulation that if any additional funds became available that they go. to placing additional handicap ramps at street corners . When it appeared that Dublin ' s allocation would go up to $68 ,000, the additional $13 ,000 was designated for these ramp improvements . Now that the funding is to fall below the $55 ,000 estimate, staff is recommending that the housing rehabilitation (plus minor home repair category) be reduced consistent with the minimum required 28% funding level and that the remainder of the funds go to the Dougherty Road Right-of-Way acquisition at the Southern Pacific Railway crossing. Bog 2340 Dublin, CA 94568 -_- Dear Rich: Subject: 1986/1987 CDBG Project Selection At the December 12, 1985 meeting of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) , Committee members reviewed projects submitted for the 1986/1987 fiscal year and anticipated Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. The list of projects is attached. As discussed at the meeting, funding in 1986/1987 is expected to be approximately 15 percent below current year levels. Attached is a preliminary allocation of funds based on the 15 percent reduction. If any project will be unworkable as a result of the funding cut, new submittals will be accepted. In addition, we need your confirmation that these projects are to be included in the 1986/1987 CDBG Statement. By January 15, 1986 please notify Jack Shepherd in writing of your complete selection of projects for fiscal year 1986/1987. Provide detailed project descriptions such as names of streets and specific locations, including census tract numbers. This will facilitate our review of project eligibility and is needed for completion of statement submitted to HUD, environmental review, and grantee performance report.
