Grading for this project was completed in fiscal year 1997-98 however no other improvements were
constructed. Attached is a budget change form to re-appropriate the moneys budgeted for last fiscal year
to this fiscal year.
DESCRIPTION: In the recent past, residents have been traversing the slope between the existing
bike path along the west side of San Ramon Road and the service parking area at the rear of Shannon
Center~ A temporary path has resulted from this trailblazing and.may present a hazard to the users. This
project will construct a paved path on the previously graded slope.
The project has been identified in the City Council's adopted Goals and Objectives.
Plans and specifications have been prepared for bidding. Staff recommends that City Council authorize
Staff to advertise for bids on this Capital Improvement Project.

REASON FOR BUDGET CHANGE ENTRY:
The work for this project was anticipated to be completed during the 1997-98 fiscal year. Grading for the
~pedestrian path was completed, however, the paving work has extended into the 1998-99 fiscal year. Work to
complete this project will remain under the original project budget.
