DESCRIPTION: These three parcels, which are not needed by the City for right-of-way purposes, are remnants from the Boat House and Nohr (Curtiss Dodge) properties. The Government Code requires that, prior to sale of public property, the City must offer the property to area recreational and housing agencies. The three agencies that are notified are the State Resources Agency, East Bay Regional Park District, and the Dublin Housing Authority. These agencies have a 60-day time period in which to respond. Following that 60-day time period, the City may proceed to sell the property. Staff will return to the City Council once a purchase price has been negotiated with a potential buyer. At that time, the City Council will be requested to adopt a resolution of intent to sell the property and to set a public hearing date for the sale. The Nohr remnant is a small (5,780 SF) piece on the north side of the Dublin Boulevard Extension. The City acquired this parcel along with the land needed for street right-of-way, as this piece is not a viable parcel in terms of zoning lot size requirements for this area. It is anticipated that this parcel will be sold to John Moore (BJ Dublin Commercial), owner of the abutting land to the north of the Dublin Boulevard Extension, once the required procedures have taken place and upon approval of the City Council. The Boat House (Corallo) property was acquired in its entirety for generally the same reasons that the small Nohr piece was acquired by the City ~ the two remaining pieces are too small to be utilized by the former occupant. Staff is proposing to go ahead with the required procedures but to wait on negotiations regarding the property until after a settlement has been reached with the Corallos and an exact purchase price has been determined. It is anticipated that the smaller (1,425 SF) piece on the southeasterly corner of the parcel would be sold to Michael Nohr, owner of the adjoining property. The larger northerly parcel (16,500 SF) may be sold by bid, as it is large enough for development under the existing zoning. a: (dbx) \ agenda ~ ags Sr~ng ITEM NO. ~__ COPIES TO'
