System

FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Cost of System: $7,642.28
ost will be reimbursed by State of California Office
of Traffic Safety Grant . The City of Dublin will
incur the cost of work station furniture (estimated at
$500) and a one-year extended service agreement
( estimated at $886.67) .
DESCRIPTION At its regular meeting of April 8 , 1985 , the City
Council authorized Staff to solicit bids for an Automated Traffic Records
System.
Bid specifications and proposal forms were provided to six vendors and a
Notice Inviting Bids was posted in accordance with the City' s purchasing
ordinance . On April 18 , 1985 , the bids were opened.
Two bids were received which met the specifications of the bid proposal .
The total system cost of the two bids were as follows :
MicroAge Computers $7,642 . 28
World of Computers 8 ,037. 35
A third bid was received from Taylor Made Office Systems . This bid did not
meet the specifications and carried a higher cost than the other submittals .
MicroAge Computer Store has provided equipment to the Livermore Area
Recreation and Park District and TJKM. Staff has discussed the bidder' s
qualifications with representatives of both entities. The firm appears to
be responsive and have the ability to perform to City standards .
The proposal presented by MicroAge Computer Store is approximately 31% less
than the cost estimated by Staff. It is recommended that the City Council
award the bid to the low bider, MicroAge Computer Store .
