Dear Dublin Businessmans
Recognizing the difficult economic times we are all going
through, and especially the problems confronting the small
businessman, the last thing you need is another organization
soliciting hinds, yet here is another pitch for a worthwhile
community activity. -
Little League Baseball is a volunteer run organization that is
non-profit and is organized for the sole purpose of providing
recreational baseball as a summertime activity for the youth of Dublin.
The goals of Little League Baseball are to provide a program
of service to community youth. It is geared to provide an outlet
of healtful activity and training under good leadership in the
atmosphere of wholesome community participation.
The movement is dedicated to helping children become good and
decent citizens.. It strives to inspire them with a goal and to
enrich their lives towards the day when they must take their places
in the world. It establishes for them rudiments of teamwork and
fair play.
Funds for the support of Dublin Little League come from basically
three sources.
1. Sign-up donations (i.e. registrations)
2. Snack bar receipts- funds cpllected by the sale of coffee,
Coke, popcorn, hotdogs, etc.
3. Sponsorship donations, which have not been increased for
five years. Sponsorships are solicited from local businessman
for which they receives
a. Sponsor's names appear on the baseball caps of the team
they sponsor (except for the Pee-Wee division- 6 & 7
year old players).
b. Newspaper reporting of the results of the games carry the
team and sponsor's name.
•
c. Sponsor banner for display at your business.
•
d. Sponsor appreciation plaque which you will receive at
the end of the season.

We, the board of Dublin Little League would like to invite
you to become a sponsor for the 1983-1984 Season. The benefits
identified above would be yours, as would the knowledge that you
are contributing to the youth of the city of Dublin.
Sponsorship donations are determined by the age group of the
team being sponsored. The reason for the graduated donation schedule
is the visibility of the older players on the "upper" league teams,
and the cost of uniforms, equipment, field maintenance, etc.
Donation Schedules
1. Big League Division (16-18 year olds) $ 300.00_
2. ..Senior League Division (13-15 year olds) $ 225.00
3. Major League Division (10-12 year olds) $ 225.00
