FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Minor cost of removal of signage and/or curb paint. DESCRIPTION: In 1987, the City Council established a one-hour parking zone on Scarlett Court in front of the Valley Boat House and a loading zone in front of the Nohr property, which was then occupied by Curtiss Dodge. Both of the zones were established at the request of those businesses. Construction of the Dublin Boulevard Extension will cause significant changes to several properties near the Dublin/Dougherty/Scarlett intersection. One of the necessary property acquisitions will remove approximately five on-site parking spaces at the northerly side of the property occupied by Miracle Auto Painting. Staff has talked with Mr. Donald Wilson, the owner of Miracle Auto Painting in relation to establishing some type of on-street parking zone that would offset removal of the on-site spaces. Mr. Wilson felt that repeal of the special one-hour parking zone and the loading zone on the opposite side of the street would be sufficient. Since the Valley Boat House property will be entirely acquired by the City, and the Nohr property will be partially acquired and is no longer being utilized by Curtiss Dodge, these special zones are no longer necessary. The ordinance is proposed to take effect at the time of the City's acquisition of the properties. The City will be entitled to possession of the Nohr property on March 22, 1992, and the Boat House a few days prior to that. A minimum of 30 days must elapse between the time of adoption of the ordinance and its effective date. If the City Council adopts the ordinance at the January~t~m-meeting, the 30 day requirement will also be met. ~'~ Staff recommends that the City Council conduct a public hearing, deliberate, waive the reading and~ the ordinance repealing City of Dublin Ordinance 48-87, Sections 1 and 2/to become effective March 22, 1992. a:(corres)~jan~agstscar ITEM NO. ~ COPIES TO: Donald Wilson; John and Shirley Corallo; Mike Nohr; Wohlross Associates ORDINANCE NO. -92 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN REPEALING SECTIONS 1 AND 2 OF ORDINANCE 48-87 LIMITED PARKING AND LOADING ZONES ON SCARLETT COURT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Pursuant to City of Dublin Municipal Code Section 6.04.270, the following LIMITED PARKING ZONE is repealed: One Hour Parking, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Scarlert Court: On the northeasterly curbline, from a point 237 feet from the easterly curbline of Dougherty Road, southeasterly a distance of 123 feet.
