FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
Low bid received - $44,598.50
Total budgeted for contract - $40,100
Bid items can be added to, or subtracted
from, to meet available funds
DESCRIPTION: This project was approved as part of the
1983-84 Capital Improvement Budget. Subsequently, the City
Council authorized Staff to advertise for bids on this
project. The City received bids (see attached). The lowest
bid was received from P and F Consctuction, Inc., in the
amount of $44,598.50.
The total amount approved for this project in the 1983-84
budget was $55,100, and is broken down as follows:

Engineering & Inspection 15,000

Staff has had contact with the County Technical Advisory
Committee on Housing and Community Development Block Grant
Funds to obtain additional funding. It appears that this is
possible, and subject to the City adding additional funds.
Staff will agendize this subject of extending the project on
the March 12, 1984, Agenda.
It is estimated that construction will begin in about one
month and continue for about two additional months.
