Cost of under grounding is to be paid by CPUC Rule 20A funds. The
Street Light Assessment District will incur an expense associated
with installing two street lights to replace lights that are currently
installed on wood poles. A separate Capital Improvement Project for
the street lights, as well as the cost of including street lighting
conduit in the joint trench will be presented to the City Council for
approval at a later date. There is no cost to private property owners,
as the private services are already underground.
DESCRIPTION: At the meeting of October 24, 1995, the City Council adopted a
Resolution of Intention to form Underground Utility District 95-1 (Dublin Boulevard from 1-680 to 600
Feet West of Clark Avenue), setting public hearing dates of November 14th and 28th for consideration of
an Ordinance establishing the District.
This project is intended to coincide with the Dublin Boulevard Widening project. PG&E has provided a
tentative schedule which provides for beginning Engineering in mid-November, beginning construction in
mid-February, and pole removal in mid-May.
