SUBJFM "Noise Ordinance"
Dear Sir,
I wish to address the issue of the Noise Ordinance, which
I understand has been tabled indefinately. I have a very concerned
interest in thin issue being adopted into our city ordinancel.s.
Our neighborhood has a situation which wwists that is
related to the noise problem being considered. Several families
are directly affected by a group of young men that play rock music
everyday and sometimes at night. The volume at which they play the
music totally imposes upon the surrounding home owners. Some of the
neighbors have called the police and asked them to come out to the
young none home. I have personally spoken to them and asked them to
please turn down the volume,, but they have not responded.
Families that are three to four homes away from the young
mens home are disturbed by the loudness. The family that lives next
door to me, the gentleman is a retired man who has had a stroke. I
an sure that it is not a good situation for him to have to tolerate.
I have visited several homes in the neighborhood and talked
to the homeowners about the problem. They told me that they would also
like to see the proble* of the noise level stopped.
Please advise us as to what we can do to get the "Noise
Ordinance brought up again for consideration and hopefully passed and
adopted into our City Ordinances.
Sincerely TourB,
P,/S.
I aa in the process of getting some signatures from the surrounding
neighbors. I am also encouraging- them to attend the City Council
Meeting on October 24, at the Dublin Library.
