Box 2340 Dublin , Calif. 94568 Members , I find it necessary to bring to your attention a problem that will only get worse without your prompt attention - SPEEDING! My residence of seven years is located on Amador Valley Blvd. , between Village Parkway and Dougherty Road, and on all to numerous occasions my wife or myself have come close to being hit by speeding drivers . The most recent incident happened last week. As my wife was backing out of our driveway a lady doing every bit of forty miles per hour came within inches of hitting her car . I watched as this lady skidded into my driveway at which time I promptly informed her that she was driving in a marked twenty-five mile per hour zone . If a collision had occured it is very possible that serious injuries could have suffered by my wife and two young children. I have learned from the Dublin Police that the majority of the speeding tickets written are on Amador Valley Blvd . , and that the average speed cited is forty miles per hour, again in a twenty-five mile an hour zone . '. My neighbors , my wife and I all agree that enough is enough and that some permanent traffic control is needed now! It is our hope that no injuries occur while this problem is under your review. We are confident that you will take prompt action in this matter. Sinc e , Ter u ey 7 9 Am ey Blvd. D n, Cal 94568 41 -0232 ITEM NO. •
