Rose CITY OF DUBLIN POLICE SERVICES 100 Civic Plaza Dublin, CA 94568 Dear Chief Rose: The Dublin-San Ramon Lions Club is very proud of our association with Dublin Police Services. We are also very appreciative of the work being done in the community in law enforcement and in com- munity service by police officers of your department. The recent success of the Special Bicycle Enforcement Unit has come to our attention through Lieutenant Norm Gomes, Sergeant Chavarria and the local media. We are very pleased that this unit was able to reduce major and minor crimes in Dublin during recent holidays by a very significant amount. The patrol appears to be very economi- cal, quiet, and does allow each of us to meet the officers face to face on a regular basis, instead of a wave to a passing car. This is a very exciting approach to enforcement for the people of Dublin. It is our sincere hope that the patrol will continue in Dublin. We are aware that the patrol. however, has been using bicycles from lost and found. We want the patrol to have good, reliable and improved equipment which the officers can depend upon. Therefore, the Dublin-San Ramon Lions Club wish to donate three Diamond Back Ascent Mountain Bikes to the City of Dublin Police Services. The bikes are to be used for police law enforcement and community service in the City of Dublin. Chief Rose, please accept our donation and extend our thank you to your officers and staff for their efforts on our-behalf. We wish you continued success in your law enforcement efforts in the community. Sincerely, dJz~;(;I7M/~Ld Danny Raymond President ~~ /U ~i ho~ert -M: Trimble . FIrst Vice President
