FINANCIAL STATEMENT : Sufficient funds are included in the FY91-92
Budget for this activity
DESCRIPTION : At the June 24, 1991 meeting of the Dublin City
Council, the Council accepted the Shannon Park improvements. As has
been done with other City parks, Staff recommends that a dedication of
the park be conducted.
The Parks and Recreation Commission discussed preliminary plans for the
dedication at their regular meeting of July 9, 1991 and developed the
following plans for review and approval by the city Council:
Date & Time : Saturday, September 21, 1991
11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Activities .'
Refreshments. '
Ribbon Cutting, Speeches/Introductions
1) Entertainment by Recreation Department
sponsored Leisure Enrichment Classes,
i.e. dance, tumbling, karate, dog
obedience, etc.
2) Tours of Shannon Center
3) Bands
4) Family Games
Barbecue Lunch prepared by Commissioners &
Council Members
The proposed dedication will be publicized through the Fall Schedule of
Recreation Classes and Programs mailed to all Dublin residents, as well
as through press releases and flyers.
It is the recommendation of Staff that the City Council approve the
date for the dedication along with the preliminary plans proposed by
the Commission.
