WHEREAS, the National Association ~f TOlVn IPatch (NATlV) is sponsoring a unique, nationwide crime and drug
prellention prvgram on August 3,2004 called "National Night Out'~" and
WHEREAS, the f\.Teighborhood lfTatch and Business A!el1 programs plq;' a vitalrvle in assisting the Dublin Pok"ce
Semias thrvughjoint crime and drugprevention ~ff01ts in the City of Dublin and are supporting 'WATIONALNIGHT
OUT 2004n localjy; and
WHEREAS, it is essential that all citizens of the City of Dublin be aware if the importance if crime prevention programs
and the impact that their patticipation can have on redu{ing mine, drugs, and w:olence in the City of Dublin; and
WHEREAS, police-communi(J' partnerships and neighborhood Jqfto', awareneJJ and cooperation are important themes of
the "NA TIONAL NIGHT OUT" program;
NOW; THEREFORE BE IT RESOL liED that I, Janet Lockhatt, do herery proclaim Tuesd'!J', August 3,2004
as "NATIONAL NIGHT OUT" in Dubli,{.and call upon all citizens of Dublin to join the Dublin Police Services in
supporting the City of Dublin's "21st ANNUAL NA TIONAL NIGHT OUT. n
