DESCRIPTION:
The Anthony and Angela Bilich Family and Preferred Financial have donated $1,000.00 to Dublin Police
Services to be used in the "Kids in Action" program.
Dublin Police Services has served the students attending our public and private schools since 1982 and
continues to provide outreach programs to all youth living in the City of Dublin. The donation will
provide funds to accomplish the goals of the Kids in Action program for the youth of Dublin. The Dublin
Police Services, Crime Prevention Officer is the lead coordinator of this program. This program is
designed to reward children that have performed good deeds, helped police, and/or have been exceptional
citizens. This gives Dublin Police Services the opportunity to interact with the youth of our community in
a positive manner, thus building trusting relationships with each other.
The City Council has routinely supported efforts to identify at risk youth and provide resources to direct
them and prepare them for their future goals.
This program uses recreation activities to reinforce the positive commitment of service to the community.
This in turn builds self esteem in those individuals that participate in this program. The planned activities
are intended to promote trust between the youth and police officers, providing character building for at
risk youth, and fostering cooperation with all members of the community.
