SUBJECT: Appointments to the Art Selection Committee for Dublin Transit
Center project

RECOMMENDATION: Confirm Mayor's appointments to Art Selection Committee for the
` Dublin Transit Center Project.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: The Budget for Public Art for the Dublin Transit Center is $250,000
DESCRIPTION: At the August 19, 2008 meeting, the City Council approved the
formation of a seven member Art Selection Committee for the Dublin Transit Center Project and
authorized Staff to solicit representatives. The Committee was publicized on the City's Website and
postcard invitations were sent to all community residents living adjacent to the Transit Center as well as
representatives of Avalon Bay Communities, Inc. and the- Alameda County Surplus Property Authority. In
response to the solicitations, seven applications were received, three of which were Transit Center
community members (Armand Centeno, Lily Wen, Richard Kilker), and one of which was an arts
professional (DeeAnna Shelton). The recommended appointments by the Mayor are as follows:
