HomeMy WebLinkAboutItem 4.01 Draft Minu 8-7-01EOCSPECIAL MEETING - August 7, 2001 A special meeting of the Dublin City Council was held on Tuesday, August 7, 2001, in the Emergency Operations Center of the Dublin Civic Center. The meeting began at approximately 6:00 p.m. ROLL CALL PRESENT: ABSENT: Councilmembers Lockhart, McCormick, Oravetz, Zika, and Mayor Houston. None. DISASTER PREPAREDNESS/PLANNING (520-3.0) Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS) is a system designed to manage personnel and resources, as well as facilitate coordination between responding agencies in the event of a major disaster. Administrative Analyst Jason Behrmann coordinated SEMS training for the City Council, which included a general overview of SEMS as well as discussion of the Council's role in the event of a disaster. Mr. Behrmann gave the Council a tour of the EOC, which included a brief overview of the City's command center during an emergency and set up of the facility and demonstration of what would occur during an EOC activation.
