FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
The construction budget for this project is $25,300. The cost of the
work is expected to be reimbursed through insurance claims.
DESCRIPTION: The rear wall of the library building was damaged in a vehicle
accident in March 2006. This project would repair the damage, which consists primarily of metal
framing, drywall and exterior plaster (stucco) work and replacement of the tubular bicycle rack. The
specifications for the repair are consistent with the specifications for the original construction of the
building.
It is anticipated that the City will be reimbursed for the cost of the work through insurance claims. It is
recommended that the City Council authorize Staff to solicit bids for Contract 06-08, Library Repair.
