release of retention in the amount of$9,591.15 after 35 days if there

The Median Paver Repair project is budgeted in the General Fund (001).
DESCRIPTION: On December 21, 2000, the City Council awarded Contract No. 99-14, Median
Paver Repair, to WSP Trucking,Inc.
The Median Paver Repair project re-set paver stones in raised medians that have sunken or been displaced
by tree roots. The scope of work included removing existing paver stones, trimming tree roots, installing
root barriers, reconstructing wood headers at tree wells, and re-setting pavers to grade.
Pavers were repaired in medians on the following major arterial streets: Dublin Boulevard from San
Ramon Road to Dougherty Road, Amador Valley Boulevard from San Ramon Road to Dougherty Road
and Village Parkway from Amador Valley Boulevard to City limit line at Kimball Avenue.
Staff recommends that the City Council accept improvements under Contract No.-99-14 and authorize the
release of retention in the amount of$9,591.15 after 35 days if there are no subcontractor claims.
