FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
None
DESCRIPTION:
On May 10, 1961, Volk-McLain Communities, Inc., granted a blanket storm
drain easement covering most of the downtoWn commercial area to Alameda
County, with the stipulation that the County would quitclaim this easement if
and when the property was subdivided and/or other adequate drainage facilities
were provided.
Circuit City has requested that this easement over their property be
quitclaimed to them, as the property has been subdivided and storm drains have
been installed, with specific easements therefor
Staff has verified the existence of the : ~orm drains and permanent
easement over Parcell of Parcel Map 518 and _,-(c~mmends adoption of the
quitclaim deed to convey the blanket storm drain to Circuit City (the
successor in interest) over that portion of the area under their ownership.

AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A QUITCLAIM DEED
AND ABANDONMENT OF STORM DRAIN EASEMENT
PARCEL HAP 518
WHEREAS, the County of Alameda acquired a blanket drainage
easement over a number of downtown area Parcel Maps on May 10, 1961; and
WHEREAS, Alameda County was required by said deed to quitclaim
this easement to Volk-McLain Communities, Inc., the original owner, or its
successor, after the area was subdivided and/or other adequate drainage
facilities were provided; and
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin succeeded to the County's interest in
said easement upon its incorporation; and
WHEREAS, the area has been subdivided and storm drains
constructed with permanent easements; and
WHEREAS, the property owner has requested that the City execute a
Quitclaim Deed for abandonment of the blanket e2sement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Dublin authorizes the Mayor of the City of Dublin to execute said Quitclaim
Deed.

permitting water to flow and drain across the parcel of land more
particularly described as follows:
Parcel 1, as said parcel is shown on that certain Parcel Map 518,
filed the 21st day of October, 1969, in Book 61 of Parcel Maps at
Page 70, in the Office of the County Recorder, Alameda County.
