DESCRIPTION: At the meeting of July 20, 1999, the Dublin City Council awarded Contract
No. 99-06, Dublin Boulevard Improvements in the vicinity of Hansen Drive, to Bay Cities Paving &
Grading, Inc. This project is Phase 1 of the widening of Dublin Boulevard from two to four lanes
between Silvergate Drive and Hansen Drive, and the realigning of Dublin/Silvergate to a more
conventional "T" intersection.
The Phase 1 project included the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Dublin Boulevard
and Hansen Drive, widening approximately 520 feet of Dublin Boulevard west of Hansen Drive, and
modifying a driveway south of this intersection to align with Hansen Drive.
The City Engineer has reviewed the work on the project and has determined that the work is complete.
Staff recommends that the City Council accept the improvements and authorize the release of retention
after 35 days if there are no subcontractor claims.
