FINANCIAL STATEMENT:
Funds for installation of red curb and no parking signs are included
in the budget for the Village Parkway Traffic Signal project
DESCRIPTION: The Village Parkway Traffic Signal project is now under
construction, and is expected to be complete by the end of December. Parking is already prohibited on
Village Parkway itself, and it is now necessary to install small no parking zones on the three side streets
so that vehicles will not be parked on the traffic signal detector loops (see location diagrams). The largest
proposed no parking area, 75', is located on the north side of Brighton DriVe at Dublin High School.
Three of the other four proposed no parking zones are 20' in length, with one 25' zone on the noah side
of Tamarack adjacent to the flood control channel. Since the small no parking zones are adjacent to curb
returns, it is expected that the impact on normal neighborhood parking will be minimal. The 75' no
parking zone on Brighton Drive at Dublin High School would remove approximately four parking spaces.
Staff recommends that the City Council conduct a public hearing, deliberate, and adopt the resolution
approving the no parking zones on Tamarack Drive, Brighton Drive, and Davona Drive.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN
APPROVING NO PARKING ZONES ON TAMARACK DRIVE,
BRIGHTON DRIVE, AND DAVONA DRIVE
The City Council of the City of Dublin hereby resolves as follows:
Section 1: Pursuant to City of Dublin Municipal Code Section 6.04.250, and in the interest of
public safety, parking is prohibited in the following locations:
· On the south side of Tamarack Drive, J~om the southwesterly curb return of Village Parkway,
westerly a distance of 2O feet.
· On the north side of Tamarack Drive, J?om the northeasterly curb return of Village Parkway,
easterly a distance of 25 feet.
· On the south side of Brighton Drive, pore the southwesterly curb return of Village Parkway,
westerly a distance of 2O feet.
· On the north side of Brighton Drive, from the northeasterly curbreturn of Village Parkway,
easterly a distance of 75 feet.
· On the south side of Davona Drive, pore the southwesterly curb return of Village Parkway,
westerly a distance of 2O feet.
Section 2. Said No Parking Zones shall be added to Section 6.28.010 of the City of Dublin Traffic
Code.
