Amendment Study for the Area F North portion of Dublin Ranch

DESCRIPTION:
This item was originally scheduled for the City Council meeting of May 21, 2002. At that time, the
applicant requested that the item be continued to the following meeting and the City Council granted this
request.
At the May 21, 2002 meeting the City Council also discussed the issue of public and community facilities
in Eastern Dublin and authorized a General Plan Amendment Study to research this issue further. Staff
believes that because the General Plan and Specific Plan amendment requested for the Area F North
neighborhood of Dublin Ranch involves in large part considering a change in land use designation from
Public Facilities (Middle School and High School) to Single-family Residential, it is prudent to defer the
analysis of the applicant's land plan until further information is available to determine the most practical
land use.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council hear the Staff presentation and continue the item to a time when
the information regarding the study of the potential public facility sites has been reviewed by the City
Council.
