Report by Diane Lowart, Parks & Community Services Director ATTACHMENTS: RECOMMENDATION:N' ~, FINANCIAL STATEMENT: Schematic Design Select a name from the Parks & Community Services Commission recommendations or determine an alternate name. None DESCRIPTION: In spring of 1999 the schematic design for the five acre neighborhood park in the Dublin Ranch Phase I development was approved by both the Parks & Community Services Commission and City Council. The park is being built by Shea Homes, the master developer for Dublin Ranch Phase 1. Upon completion, the park will be dedicated to the City. As shown in the attached schematic design for the park, the park is bordered by Oak Bluff Lane on the north, North Dublin Ranch Drive on the west, Antone Way on the south and a future elementary school on the east. An intermittent stream corridor runs along the west and north edges of the park. Features of the park include a children's play area, baseball field, soccer field, and basketball and sand volleyball courts. A DSRSD pump station/restroom building is also located in the park. To date, the park has been referred to as Dublin Ranch Neighborhood Park as the City Council has not taken official action to name the park. As has been done with other new parks in the City, the Parks & Community Services Commission was requested to select up to three names for the park for consideration by the City Council. The names recommended by the Commission are as follows: Antone Park Antone Ranch Park Dublin Ranch Park It is the recommendation of Staff that the City Council select a park name from the list recommended by the Parks & Community Services Commission or determine an alternate name.
