The Fiscal Year 2006-2007 budget has allocated $10,000 for these activities. Staff has discussed this Growth Cities event with Nancy Feeley, CEO of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, and she is supportive of this event and feels it will serve to recognize Dublin businesses and what our community has to offer. Staff will continue to work with the Chamber over the balance of the fiscal year to create additional business recognition opportunities. Staff would recommend that the Growth Cities sponsorship be taken from the funding allocated for the business recognition program. Staff recommends that the City of Dublin become a sponsor of this event as this event will provide the City of Dublin with positive coverage that will be read by area business leaders and could help attract new businesses (tenants and developers) to Dublin. Staff would further recommend that the funding for the sponsorship be taken from this year's allocation of$10,000 for the Business Recognition Program.
