Foss, City Manager SUBJECT: Presentation of Certificates of Recognition to City of Dublin 2015 Citizen, Young Citizen, and Organization of the Year, Mayor's Award Recipients, and Mayor's Legacy Award Recipient Prepared by Taryn Gavagan Bozzo, Executive Aide EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The City Council will present Certificates of Recognition to the City of Dublin 2015 Citizen, Young Citizen, and Organization of the Year, the Mayor’s Award recipients, and the Mayor’s Legacy Award recipient. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council present the Certificates of Recognition. Reviewed By Assistant City Manager DESCRIPTION: In February of each year, the City Council recognizes a Citizen, Young Citizen and Organization who made a significant contribution toward enhancing the quality of life for residents of Dublin during the past year. Additionally, the Mayor presented two special awards, the Mayor’s Award and the Mayor’s Legacy Award, to those he wished to recognize for their extraordinary dedication to the community. The winners in each category, along with the Mayor’s special awards recipients, were recognized at the City’s Volunteer Recognition Event on February 17, 2016. The City Council will formally recognize the following award winners:  Nicole Chen -- 2015 Young Citizen of the Year ITEM NO. 3.1 Page 1 of 2  Terri Dyer -- 2015 Citizen of the Year  Tri-Valley YMCA -- 2015 Organization of the Year  James and Mary Morehead, and Michael and Katherine Utsumi of OneDublin.org -- Mayor’s Award  George Zika -- Mayor’s Legacy Award NOTICING REQUIREMENTS/PUBLIC OUTREACH: None.
