EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Seven applications were received for the Student Representative to the Parks and Community
Services Commission and the Mayor is recommending the appointment of Dublin High School
student, Jasmine Bafaiz.
FINANCIAL IIVIPACT:
None
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council confirm the Mayor's appointment of Jasmine Bafaiz as
the Student Representative to the Parks and Community Services Commission for the term of
July 2011 through June 2012.

DESCRIPTION:
The current term of the Student Representative to the Parks and Community Services
Commission will expire on June 30, 2011. During the month of April 2011, recruitment efforts
took place to encourage high school students to apply for the position for the upcoming term of
office. A total of seven applications were received by the application deadline.
Mayor Sbranti recommends the appointment of Jasmine Bafaiz to a term commencing in July
2011 and expiring in June 2012 as the Student Representative to the Parks and Community
Services Commission. ~
NOTICING REQUIREMENTS/PUBLIC OUTREACH:
The position for the Student Representative to the Parks & Community Services Commission
was advertised at the local high schools, on the City's website and press releases were sent to
the Tri-Valley Herald, Valley Times and CN.
