DESCRIPTION:
The City Council will proclaim the week of November 21 - November 27, 2010 as "National
Family Week" in the City of Dublin and encourage families to recognize and appreciate their
role, thus contributing to a strong and healthy community.
NOTICING REQUIREMENTS/PUBLIC OUTREACH:
None.

CITY OF
D UBLIN, CALIFORNIA
"N.ational Family Week"
WHEREAS, stYOng families are at the center of strong communities; and
WHEREAS, everyone has a role to play in making families successful, including neighborhood oYganizations, businesses,
non profit groups, c~nd of course families themselves; and
WHEREAS, Dublin is known as the place where families come to raise their children; and
WHEREAS, the City of Dublin is pleased to woYk with families, schools, businesses, service clubs, churches and non profit
organizations in suppoYting `Dublin Integrity in Action " by promoting the character traits of Respectfulness,
Responsibility, Caring, Giving, Positive Attitude, TrustwoYthiness, Cooperation, Doing One's Best, Honesty c~nd Self
Discipline, and
WHEREAS, we should all recommit to spending quality time encouraging these desirable character traits and building our
~c~mily relationships; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting that official recognition be given to tlie importance of family loyalties, relationships, and
connections.
