DESCRIPTION:
In the last few months, City Staff have worked with OpenGov, a local data solutions firm, on an
online transparency application that presents City budget data in user-friendly graphical formats.
The software is interactive, so that users can select the data sets that interest them, and
includes a rolling five-year picture of high-level revenues and expenditures in all funds. Opening
up the City of Dublin’s budget in this way is consistent with the City’s ongoing goal of
strengthening the connection between the community and the City administration.
The City’s information went live online on September 3, 2013. The website link can be found on
the City’s website, http://www.ci.dublin.ca.us on the City Council webpage, and also under the
Finance Reports section in the Finance and Administrative Services webpage.
