FINANCIAL IMPACT: The adopted General Fund budget for Capital Project 950002 is $46,505, which includes $760 for project administration and $45,745 for improvements and instaflation. A portion of the project cost ($25,000) is being funded from a safety grant distributed by the City's liability insurance program (Association of Bay Area Governments Pooled Liability Assurance Nefinrork - ABAG PLAN). Project Improvement Budget $45,745.00 Landscape Structures (US Communities Pricing) $31,147.03 Ross Recreation Removal and Installation $12,868.00 Change Order #1 -Electrical Repair 879.36 Total Cost $44,894.39 Amount Remaining in Improvement Budget $850.61 RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the City Council accept the final facility improvements and adopt the Res lution accepting the improvements at Emerald Glen P . Ui~t~ G~^ Submitted by: Reviewe Parks and Community Services Director Assistant City Manager Page 1 of 2 ITEM NO. • ~ 3 DESCRIPTION: At its meeting on April 6, 2010 the Dublin City Council awarded contract to Ross Recreation Equipment Incorporated. Work under the Contract included replacement of existing play equipment designed for 2-5 year olds near the water play feature at Emerald Glen Park. Staff completed a walkthrough of the project on June 4, 2010 and all elements of the project were complete. Upon City Council acceptance of the project, Staff will file a notice of completion with Alameda County Clerk. The City will release the 10% retention thirty-five days subsequent to recording the notice of completion with Alameda County. , NOTICING REQUIREMENTS/PUBLIC OUTREACH: None ATTACHMENTS: 1. XX - 10 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DUBLIN ~**~~**~*** ACCEPTING IMPROVEMENTS AT EMERALD GLEN PARK WHEREAS, Ross Recreation Equipment Incorporated, entered into a contract with the City of Dublin to complete the replacement of play equipment for 2- 5 year olds at Emerald Glen Park in accordance with plans and specifications on file with the City Engineer; and WHEREAS, said improvements have been completed in accordance with said plans and specifications, and any approved modifications thereof, to the satisfaction of said City Engineer of the City of Dublin; and WHEREAS, as a condition of said contract, Ross Recreation Equipment, Incorporated is required to warranty the improvements for a period of one year following acceptance of the work by the said City of Dublin; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Councif of the City of Dublin does RESOLVE 1. That the improvements completed within the said Facility, are hereby approved and accepted subject to the aforesaid one-year warranty.
