Subject: February 7th Fireworks Discussion
Hello,
My name is Rachel Bennett. I am the account manager for Phantom Fireworks within the City of Dublin. It has come to my
attention that there is a revision of the Fireworks Ordinance that may be going to vote at tomorrow night's meeting.
The notice was sent by US Postal mail on February 2 from Fire Marshal Terra. I am somewhat disappointed and
concerned of the suggested changes being introduced tomorrow. The disappointment comes solely by way of concern in
the fairness to the service organizations that do provide funding to the educational groups with the funds raised with the
sale of fireworks. The organizations should have been notified of the suggested changes almost immediately in order to
1
have the ability of responding to the matter.
I do hope that the City Council will consider hearing from the non profit groups that will be in attendance at tomorrow
nights meeting before any voting occurs. I would also encourage any future matters concerning fireworks to come forth to
my attention in a more timely manner.
Thank you for your time.
