EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City Council will consider the cancellation of specific City Councit meetings in 2011, and
every year thereafter, until determined otherwise.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that the City Council direct Staff to cancel the first City Council meeting in
January, July and August of 2011 and every year thereafter, until determined otherwise; or
provide Staff alternate direction.

DESCRIPTION:
Last September, the City Council directed Staff to cancel the first City Council meetings in
January, July and August of 2010. Staff is asking for City Council direction in cancelling specific
meetings in 2011 in order to plan ahead in regard to workload. Up for consideration is the
cancellation of the Regular City Council meetings scheduled for January 4, 2011, July 5, 2011,
and August 2, 2011. Staff also requests the City Council consider the cancellation of the first
meetings in January, July and August every year thereafter, until determined otherwise.

Noticing not required.
