for public review several days prior to a Council meeting in the City Clerk’s Office and also at the Dublin
Library.

3.ORAL COMMUNICATIONS
At this time, the public is permitted to address the City Council on non-agendized items. The
Council must, however, comply with all State Laws in regard to items not appearing on the
posted agenda. The Council may respond to statements made or questions asked, or may request
Staff to report back at a future meeting concerning the matter. Any member of the public may
contact the City Clerk’s Office related to the proper procedure to place an item on a future City
Council agenda. The exceptions under which the City Council MAY discuss and/or take action on
items not appearing on the agenda are contained in Government Code Section 54954.2(b)(1)(2)(3).

8.1Status Report on 1997 Goals & Objectives and Establishment of 1998 Goals & Objectives
The City Council will conduct their annual review of the City's Goals & Objectives for the past
year and establish and prioritize Goals & Objectives for the City for 1998.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Receive Report; Review 1997 Goals & Objectives; Review
1998 Goals; Provide opportunity for public input; Prioritize and adopt 1998 Goals & Objectives;
Prioritize new Capital Projects proposed.
8.21998-99 Budget Study Session
In order to facilitate the preparation of the 1998-99 Annual Budget and Capital Improvement
Program, the City Council will identify those issues anticipated to impact the City's financial
condition in the next few years. The City Council will also identify any issues to be evaluated
during the preparation of the Preliminary 1998-99 Budget and CIP.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: 1) Receive Staff Report; 2) Review Budget Issues Worksheet
and provide Staff with direction on each of the issues identified in the Worksheet; and 3) Establish
Budget Hearing Date to consider 1998-99 Annual Budget.
