The City Council will participate in
Standardized Emergency Management System (SEMS)
training and will be given a tour.of the
City's Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
SEMS is a system designed to manage personnel and resources, as well
as facilitate coordination between responding agencies in the event of a
major disaster. The training will include a general overview of SEMS as
well as a discussion of the Council's role in the event of a disaster.
The EOC tour will provide the Council with a brief overview of the City's
command center during an emergency, and will cover set-up of the facility
and a demonstration of what will occur during an EOC activation.
